Little Alchemy 2 is a creative merge game where you mix and match elements to discover new, unique ones. You start with air, earth, fire, and water, then drag and drop them together to see what they produce. You can easily create simple things like mud or more complex things like humans! Every time you create something new, it becomes part of your roster of items, so you can get more and more complex. Some creations are fairly simple, but others are a bit more complicated to uncover... like zombies!

Gameplay is simple. All you have to do is drag the items you want to combine from the menu on the right into the middle screen. Then, drag one object onto the other to try to combine them both. Voila! You've just become an alchemist.

Remember your combinations

A valid combination rewards you with new items and provides the merge in your roster of elements. You can use the encyclopedia to track your progress and read about the items you've discovered.

Clean your canvas

Being an alchemist will start to get messy, so thankfully, there's also a "clean up" button located in the top left to clear your canvas. The search feature in the top right is also handy when you're losing track of your creations!

The sky's the limit

The game has no levels, time limits, or penalties, so it’s a relaxed, open-ended experience that encourages trial and error. Humorous captions accompany each new find, adding charm while rewarding curiosity and logical thinking. Some combinations will be more evident than others, and there are often more ways than one to create a new item. Some combinations rely on logic and others require more creative, out-of-the-box thinking. Here are some basic creations so you understand how Little Alchemy 2 works:

• Fire + Mist = Air
• Earth + Air = Dust
• Earth + Fire = Lava
• Earth + Lava = Volcano
• Fire + Stone = Metal

These are all logical combinations. However, some combos don't seem as obvious, like water + horse creating a hippo. Sometimes you have to think outside the box and mix elements you wouldn't expect to create something.

Little Alchemy was released in June 2016, and its sequel followed in August 2017. Both games share the same core concept of sandbox-style experimentation. You begin with four basic elements: earth, fire, air, and water. By combining them, you discover new ones. Although the foundation is the same, the sequel introduces enough changes to create a fresh experience.

Little Alchemy 2 offers a brighter, more colorful design with subtle animations that give it a more playful atmosphere. It also expands the number of possible discoveries, with 720 elements compared to the original’s 589. The sequel also introduces special content such as the Myths and Monsters pack, which adds imaginative new items and makes experimentation even more engaging.
